Minneapolis – Robert Schleeter, founder of Broadway Equipment Company and Auto Butler, died on December 11, 2011 at the age of 74.
Robert Schleeter bought his first retail car wash in 1962 and owned 7 retail car wash sites over the next 40 years. In 1977 Robert began Broadway Equipment Company which grew to become one of the largest provider of car wash systems to car dealers nationwide. Robert also began a paint protection company called Auto Butler which was his life’s passion. Both companies were passed along to his sons.
